How to track your debt payoff
- Enter each debt with today’s balance, APR and minimum. The list is shared with the snowball and avalanche calculators on this site.
- Log payments as you make them. The balance drops and the thermometer moves.
- Once a month, true up balances to your statements so interest is counted.
- Celebrate milestones without undoing them: a free day out beats a new charge.

Questions people ask
Where is my tracker data stored?
Only in this browser, using localStorage. There’s no account and nothing is uploaded. That also means it won’t follow you to another device; use Export CSV to keep a copy. Clear it any time from the privacy page.
Can I use this as a debt snowball spreadsheet?
Yes. Your debts are listed in snowball order with balances, APRs and minimums, and every payment you log updates them. Export CSV opens in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers, and Print gives you a one-page worksheet.
What counts as a milestone?
Each debt reaching zero earns a PAID stamp, and the thermometer marks 10%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of your starting total paid off. Celebrate them in a way that doesn’t add new debt.
Should I log the interest too?
Log the full payment you made. Then, once a month, update each balance to match your statement so interest is included. Edit the balance directly in the debt list.
