Short version: your debts stay on your device. There are no accounts and nothing to sign up for.
What’s stored, and where
The debts you enter, your extra payment amount and any payments you log in the tracker are saved in your browser’s localStorage so they’re still there next time. They never leave your device unless you use the plan coach (below). We have no database and no user accounts.
The AI plan coach
If you press “Coach my plan”, the debt names, balances, rates, minimums, your extra payment, the calculated results and your optional question are sent to our server and passed to an AI model through Vercel’s AI Gateway to write the reply. We don’t store the request or the answer. Don’t include personal details like account numbers in debt names or questions.
Analytics
We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t collect anything you type into the calculators.
Clear your data
This removes all ZeroDebt data from this browser: your debts, extra payment, tracker history and starting balances.
Not financial advice
Calculators use standard formulas (monthly interest at APR ÷ 12, fixed payments) and give estimates. Your lender’s figures may differ slightly. For help with unmanageable debt, a nonprofit credit counselor, such as an agency affiliated with the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC), can help.
